In working with more than 1000 clients, we’ve seen some really great ways to enhance event registration. And the best thing is that with the advent of online registration systems, much of these techniques can be automated and streamlined.

The result: a better experience for your registrants. In addition, these online registration systems eliminate many of the headaches you and your team face on a day-to-day basis.

These 10 little success secrets will:

? Attract more registrants

? Make events more valuable

? Result in more satisfied attendees

? Make your life as a meeting planner easier

? Let’s dive in and have fun exploring our

1. Take the time up-front

You might be surprised how simple changes in your registration design can make everything much easier and more efficient for you and for your attendees – which makes everybody happy! Plus, preparation up-front will save you a lot of time and hassle in the end. Online registration systems are event registration tools to help you build your event quickly. But, all too often, building the event takes longer than anticipated because not enough time was spent designing the registration process.

Give yourself a week or more to create a great design for your online registration. That way you can percolate some really good ideas, bounce them off of others, and even get some assistance from your online registration system’s support team. Some support teams will help you scope everything out, brainstorm on ideas, and even help you build your registration pages.

2. Maximize registration time

Give yourself plenty of time to register and round up registrants. The more time you have to register people before an event, the more registrants you’ll have. We see so many events where registration starts a couple weeks before the event. By increasing the registration period, people

perceive the event as being bigger, more important, and have a sense that it’s even more worthwhile for them.

This also enables you to have tiered pricing, such as early bird specials that motivate people to sign up even earlier. Some online registration systems will automatically turn different pricing tiers on and off based on dates that you set.

3. Make Signing Up Easy

Give your prospective attendees as many opportunities as possible to say ?yes? to your event. How many times have you come across an event you’ve wanted to attend? only to have to sort through web pages to try to find the small ‘register here? text link hidden at the bottom of a page. This means lost registrants and revenue. It also means more staff time in directing people to where to go. Display the link prominently on your home page, in the navigation bar, certainly on every page that discusses the event, at the bottom of emails (in the signature), and include the URL on your printed materials.

4. Help them feel at home

With most online registration services, your attendees click from your site to your registration provider’s site. This has the potential to be confusing to your attendees and may make them uncomfortable sharing their contact and credit card information. You can avoid this by changing the border, headings, and font colors on the registration pages to match your site. Also, upload your logo into the custom header and/or footer pages. Now when people click to register, they feel all warm and fuzzy about your brand and colors being right there with them.

5. Welcome them in

A ?welcome? message is such a nice touch that tells people exactly what event they are registering for and make them feel good. It’s a wonderful opportunity to remind your prospects of the value they’ll get out of attending your event. Be specific. Whether it’s a conference, incentive trip, training, or golf tournament, we all need reassurance on why we are investing our time and money. It is also a good place to explain a little bit about the online registration process (especially if there’s a lot to decide on or fill out)

For example:

? Welcome to the Conference on Happy Golden Retrievers. We are so excited that you will be joining us in Lake Tahoe this August 20th-23rd.

Among the 300 happy goldens, all the cool dog tricks they’ll do, and all the fun we’ll have hanging out with each other, it ought to be dog-gone-fun! In the next four registration pages we will ask you some questions about you and your dog, your preferences for meals, your hotel preferences, and your preferred method of payment.

Please feel free to call or email if you have any questions or problems along the way. We want to make sure you are as happy as your golden.?

6. Give access to detail

One reason people abandon their registration is because they want to learn more before buying. Having links from the registration pages to more detailed pages (either on the registration form or to your website) is very important. It enables the registrant to open secondary windows, get more information, and then come back to finish their registration. You may want to encourage people to call you while they are registering, so they can get answers right away and finish their registration right then and there.

7. Ask Deeper Questions

Ask your registrants more questions than their contact information, meal preferences, and credit card numbers. Learn more about them; their expectations for the event, their views and experience on topics related to the event, and their demographic data. Your registrants will feel the event will be more tailored to meet their needs. You can actually use the information to make the event more relevant.

Some example questions are:

What would you like to get out of this event?

How did you learn about the event?

Why did you decide to attend?

How many times have you been to this event?

Have you recommended it to others? Why?

What would you do to improve the event?

Which part(s) of the event are you most looking forward to?

You could use this information to improve the event, promote it, track marketing efforts, gather aggregate data to share with all attendees, and pump up aspects that people are really looking forward to. Some online registration systems will enable you to add custom questions like these to your registration pages. They may also output the responses into a nice, neat format for you as well.

8. Fulfill their desire to buy

Give your registrants the opportunity to buy more than just an event registration. Your registrants are already in the buying mood. They may be itching to get something to help them before, during, or after your event. Do you have books, t-shirts, tapes, white papers, or autographed copies of books from the speakers at your event? Or if you are a charity, this might be a great opportunity to ask for a donation. With an online registration system, you can offer your registrants additional value (with very little additional effort) as they are going through the registration process.

9. Thank your registrants

With online registration, the system automatically sends out confirmation emails to the registrant. Use this opportunity to help your registrant feel really good about their decision to attend. Write a confirmation email that sincerely thanks them, gets them even more excited about their decision to attend, and gives them a subtle reminder to tell their friends and colleagues. You may even want to put a special offer in the confirmation that would help their friends get a deal on your event.

10. Add value before the event

Most online registration systems have options for automated reminder emails at time frames that you determine. Use this capability to increase your attendance, develop more rapport, and increase referrals.

The super charging trick is to give additional value in these emails? a tasting of a topic that will be covered at the event, an article from one of the speakers, an industry whitepaper, or hard-hitting controversial questions facing the industry.

Maybe just before the golf tournament, it’s a blurb from Tiger Woods on how to putt. Give something that would add value and color to your registrants? lives? anything that would cause them to feel like the event organizers have obviously done their homework and, therefore, the event is going to be super valuable, too.

Bonus Tips:

After reading these 10 tips, you may be asking, ?Is there anything else I should know?? We decided to throw in a few bonus tips to help further enhance the event and registration experience.

1. Recruit testers to break your registration

Fully test your registration pages before going live with them. It is much easier to spend the time up front than to have the hassles and embarrassment of a misaligned registration form.

Sometime you can just be too close to it and need another set of eyes to do an adequate job of testing. The more testing you do, the smoother everything will go. Rehearse the registration while it is still in testing mode with several people in your organization. Ask the tech support advisors of your online registration provider to test it for you. Their expertise in event setup will ensure you’re getting the most out of the application.

2. Bring back the people who abandon

Some systems are able to automatically email people who came to register and never finished. The email would ask if they had any questions or problems. This gives you an opportunity to be proactive in helping people complete their registrations, thereby increasing your registration numbers. On some systems, this may be a report that you can run yourself and then email to manually.

3. Talk to attendees after the event

Post-event follow up is so often overlooked. You can stand above the crowd by doing a post-event follow-up email and/or survey. Thank your attendees, ask them what they liked about the event, and what they thought could be done better. Some online registration systems can automate that process too. For example, set the system to automatically send out personalized emails with a survey link one week after the event is over.

I sincerely hope this article makes your conference and seminar registration even more successful!

Virtual ISP Technology: 5 Signs That Signal It’s Time To Partner With A Wholesale ISP ProviderSubmitted By: Todd Grannis

There’s really nothing like being in control – especially when you’re in business for yourself. But for facilities-based ISP owners that dream can slip away as the daily grind of technical challenges, rising operating costs, contract minimums, and customer support woes takes its toll.

We hear about this pain daily from prospective ISPs that have not yet leveraged a partnership with a quality Wholesale ISP. However, after a well-executed import of subscriber data, ISPs make more money while working fewer hours. Fixed costs are eliminated. Lost sleep and demanding technical challenges become a thing of the past.

The Difference Between Do-It-Yourself and a Wholesale ISP Partnership

Many ISP owners got into the facilities-based ISP business model during the mid-1990s before virtual ISP technology and server-based ISP software became a reliable solution. A facilities-based ISP owns its mail, DNS, and authentication servers, switches, circuits, and other infrastructure. As demand grew, the ISP owner had to purchase new circuits to keep up. This was a double-edged sword because as demand for dial-up declined, many ISPs have been stuck with termination liabilities on circuits they were no longer using.

A wholesale ISP or virtual ISP provider aggregates the volume of hundreds ISPs. Each ISP offers Internet Services under their own company name and sets their own prices, support policies, and manages their own branding. It makes sense to partner with a company, such as visp.net (http://www.visp.net), that is highly specialized in providing back-office software and services for ISPs.

For the facilities-based ISP owner, moving their back-office services to a wholesale ISP means that they can now pay for services on a per-subscriber basis with margin on each account. They’ve effectively eliminated fixed costs and replaced them with variable costs that provide a more sustainable business model in the highly dynamic Internet access market.

The shift to a wholesale ISP can be a significant upgrade of services because you are leveraging the multimillion-dollar R & D investment of your ISP wholesaler. The result: greater subscriber retention, and a service that’s more attractive to prospective customers.

Knowing When It’s Time to Change

While working with hundreds of ISPs over the past decade who have reached this crossroad, I’ve identified a few ?Red Flags? that signal it’s time to partner with an ISP wholesaler.

Here Are My Top 5 Signs:

1. Unused circuits are sucking your profit margin dry. It’s the Catch-22 of the facilities-based ISP world. You’ve got just the right amount of subscribers and circuits. You’re finally in the black and begin to show a profit. Life is good. But just when you start making money, along comes that one additional subscriber and you either send the subscriber to the competition or sign a contract for yet another expensive circuit. On the other hand, you might have latent capacity on existing dialup or DSL circuits. Either way, profit goes out the window. By partnering with a wholesale ISP, owners pay only for services that they need and use. Nothing more.

2. If you only have one qualified system administrator your head is in the sand. The disastrous possibilities are real. We’ve worked with ISPs who’ve lost their administrators to death, accidents and?even Microsoft. You might not want to think about it, but it’s a cold, hard reality. A qualified ISP wholesaler has the resources to maintain redundant administration. Unexpected catastrophes are met with a team of professionals while you enjoy your vacation or rest peacefully in your bed.

3. Billing and administrative stresses make you want to pull your hair out. New ISP services require new management interfaces. Just when you get adjusted to one, subscribers start hammering on you about some new service. It can become overwhelming. A good wholesale ISP vendor offers a highly integrated solution that reduces stress. ISP in-a-box – management software from visp.net, for example, provides ISPs and their staff with a consistent interface for administration, billing, and management of all common ISP services, plus an interface that allows subscribers to easily manage their own services without bothering you.

4. If a mission-critical server blew up today you?d be in a world of hurt. You’ve heard stories of ISPs who’ve had a server go down, and lost droves of customers. Often, these ISPs never recover. In this business, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. However, designing and maintaining your own highly reliable systems is very expensive and requires significant administrative skill. By moving to a wholesale ISP, such as visp.net, ISPs leverage existing engineering expertise and layers of redundant architecture. Every mission-critical server is RAIDed and mirrored to an identical RAID backup system. Typical uptime exceeds the carrier-class gold standard of five nines or 99.999%. That’s one less thing to keep you up at night.

5. There’s no future in simply maintaining or even losing subscribers. Growing your ISP isn’t as easy as it used to be. Competition is everywhere. You’ve got to be better, and potential customers need to know about you. As a local ISP you have significant advantage over national competitors, but when you’re busy managing everything else, when do you have time to grow your subscriber base? By partnering with a wholesale ISP, you can provide your subscribers with the quality of service offered by national competitors, such as 24-hour support. When you hand-off 24/7 administrative chores, you free up time to perform a much more critical function – growing your ISP.

In the end, the choice to leverage wholesale ISP software and technology is a business decision. As the ISP business has become increasingly dynamic, shrinking profit margins require ISPs to eliminate fixed costs. There’s no more powerful way to cut your overhead and improve your quality of life than by partnering with an experienced wholesale ISP provider.

When looking to buy a second hand car you should be extra careful and vigilant as purchasing a car from a private sale does not usually come with the reassurance of a warranty.

Used cars have one major advantage over buying a brand new vehicle and that is the price. Used cars, even if only a year or two old are substantially cheaper than new cars. From the moment a vehicle is driven off a dealer’s forecourt the depreciation begins and in the early days the price drop is disproportionate to the vehicles actual wear and tear.

If you are not mechanically minded yourself it is probably a good idea to take someone, preferably a mechanic with you or better still instruct a specialist engineer to examine the vehicle on your behalf. Although this will increase your budget it will not only give you peace of mind but will undoubtedly be money well spent if a serious problem is discovered.

Take your time and do not rush into a purchase just because you think you will lose the sale. Remember there are thousands of used cars out there to choose from.

Decide on your budget and stick to it! Make sure you have included tax, insurance and any accessories you might need on top of the actual cost of the car in your budget. Make sure you are buying the right car for your needs. If it’s a family vehicle you are looking for to ferry the kids around, do not get carried away looking at two seated roadsters. It’s easily done!

Make sure you research thoroughly and buy several magazines and guides from your local newsagent. This will help you have a better understanding of prices and market trends, as you will find thousands of used cars listed.

When viewing any used cars make sure you do it in the daytime preferably at the seller’s home address. Daytime viewings will ensure that any defects to the bodywork are easily noticed and viewing the vehicle at the seller’s home address will give you an idea of how the vehicle has been maintained. If the vendor wants to carry out the transaction elsewhere demand that it is a public place. This is for your own safety, as you do not know who you will be dealing with.

It is quite normal for used cars to have had several prior owners so do not be put of by this, but do check the cars log book and service history carefully making sure the documents are in order and all the dates and records check out.

Carry out a H P I check to verify the cars history. You will be able to determine if the vehicle has any outstanding finance or if it has been stolen. Also this check will determine if the vehicle has been subject to an insurance write off or if the mileage has been altered.

Ask the vendor as many questions as possible about the cars history, especially the reason for sale. That said; do not take any reply as an absolute truth!

Take as long as you want with your inspection

Checking the Interior

Ensure all the electrics, including mirrors; windows and central locking are in good working order. Test the seat belts click into their sockets and retract properly. Check the wear on the foot pedals, as this will give you an indication if the vehicle has covered an excessive amount of miles. Lift any seat blankets, which may be hiding burns and stains. Do not be afraid to check under floor mats and upholstery for rot and corrosion. Feel around for any damp or water residue and when inside have a good sniff for any mould or pet smells, as this is a sure sign there may be stains or damp lurking somewhere.

Exterior inspection

Look down the sides of the vehicle as some used cars would have suffered the odd bump or two in their time. Check to see if the panels are in line and free from any filer. Make sure there are no irregular gaps between the doors, bonnet and boot. Check the colour match on each panel for signs of a respray. Feel under the wheel arches and seals for signs of rust.

Most used cars will need some money spent on them and normally this will be tires and exhausts. The minimum tyre tread is 1.6mm so check all the tyres have at least this depth and factor replacement costs into your budget if they are near the mark. Inspect the exhaust, and check that it is not noisy or blowing.

The Engine

Check the engine oil and ensure that it is brown and transparent. Make sure the paintwork in the engine bay matches that of the cars exterior. Check for leaks on hoses and pipes before and after the test drive.

When the engine is started it should idle smoothly. Listen carefully for any irregular rattles or grinding sounds.

The Test Drive

Do not be afraid to ask for a test drive, preferably with you driving the vehicle.

If possible drive the vehicle on a variety of road surfaces so you can feel the cars handling. Check the suspension is solid and the vehicle holds a true line. Listen for any grinding when the steering wheel is at full lock. Once the vehicle is moving listen for any irregular engine noises.

Closing the Deal

Once you are satisfied the vehicle is for you and it has passed the above checks do not be afraid to haggle over the price. Most sellers of used cars are prepared to negotiate over the original asking price. Where possible try to get the seller to include any extras or accessories.

An important point to remember is not to feel pressured into buying a car no matter how good the sales patter is.

If you have any doubts about the purchase then DO NOT BUY as there are many other used cars out there to choose from.

Traveling Out Of Body

by: Keith Varnum

I can see the cops coming! They’re a good thousand feet away. I can clearly make out their uniforms and swinging nightsticks. How can I be seeing this?

I didn’t dare mention it to my fellow underage drinking mates lounging with me on the grassy knoll in the park. Am I making this up? Projecting it somehow into my vision? Forcefully, I shook my head back and forth in an effort to free my mind of its strange perception.

But the view of the two police officers remained in my sight, as they sauntered closer and closer to our drinking den. In fact, to my further astonishment, I saw a much wider perspective as I swiveled my gaze within the picture before me. I can see myself!

Frantically blinking my eyes open and shut trying to erase this impossibility, I still found myself staring at my own physical body on the ground next to my beer buddies. The place from which I was viewing was about forty feet in the air! As I shifted my attention to look at the looker, I saw an airborne body in the form of a luminous shimmer, much like a ghost is portrayed in a movie. Then, with the ease of a mere thought, I discovered I could shift my point of view from my physical body on the ground back to my ethereal light body in the air. Using my eyes in my subtle body, I surveyed the scene again from my perch in the air.

Am I making all this up? Do I want to impress my pals so much, I’m concocting an extrasensory perception to allow me to warn them of an oncoming bust? My frenetic self-questioning came to an abrupt halt as I heard one of the officers whisper to his colleague, “Do you hear that noise? There are some kids in the park.”

Whether I was conjuring my supernormal sight and hearing to court favor with my friends or not, I needed to act-and quickly. “Hey, guys, don’t ask me how I know, but there are some cops right up the street and they’re on to us. Let’s split.” My three inebriated friends and I quietly sneaked down the hill and out of the park under the helpful cloak of darkness. By a nanosecond, we successfully evaded detection as we heard the policemen slashing at the bushes with their billyclubs right behind us A close call!

“Hey, how’d ya know the fuzz was there?” my buddy pressed me as we arrived safely back at our car.

“Uh, I just knew somehow. A guess, I guess,” I muttered, covering for myself as best I could under the circumstances.

“Well, a pretty good one, man. We’d be up the creek if they caught us. Thanks. You’re all right. We should have you around every time we go drinking.”

Ah, music to my ears. And so my young career as a drinking guard began!

My friends, at sixteen, were older than I but still under the legal drinking age of eighteen in New York State. I was fifteen and considered myself really lucky to be included in this older gang at a time of life when acceptance and belonging was paramount. And to have access to liquor through their connections was heaven for me.

I would do almost anything to please these guys and stay tight with them. I mused to myself, My newfound super-vision is coming in real handy. If we got busted for underage drinking, we’d all get grounded by our parents, not to mention getting in trouble with the law. I’ve got to keep this good thing going!

On that fateful night, my need for approval prompted me to keep expanding this burgeoning, new skill that I stumbled across in the line of necessity and opportunity.

As I played with my prowess as a night watchman for the gang, I realized I was doing more than clairvoyance, “clear seeing.” Each time I playfully sent myself out to scan the scene for police, I was having a bona fide out-of-body experience. I didn’t have a name for it then, but I sure knew I was doing it! I was right on the mark every time I called a cop alert. My skill was valued by the friends I valued. Literally, I was flying high!

Since my teenage discovery, I’ve continued to explore out-of-body adventures. And I always laugh in admiration when I look back on how God tricked me into developing my first natural spiritual ability.

Nutritional vitamins and herbal supplements are just one of the many types of dietary supplements available in the market. Dietary supplements include vitamin or herbal extractions as part of their ingredients. Like other supplements, nutritional vitamins and herbal supplements come in pill, gel capsule, liquid, or powder forms.

Getting the most out of supplements

As the consumption of nutritional vitamins and herbal supplements increase, more studies dedicated to maximizing its benefits to the body are being conducted. The formula is simple: Dietary supplements must complement your diet. They should not overpower, cancel, or take away from the nutrients that your body absorbs from your natural diet.

Below are some tips collated from these different studies. They should help you maximize the performance of the nutritional vitamins and herbal supplements you take.

1. Excessive supplements can harm you.

Even though nutritional vitamins and herbal supplements contribute to a healthy lifestyle, taking too much of them can be dangerous. This is because supplements can be likened to drugs in that they are also reactive to other elements present inside the body.

For instance, too much iron may increase your chances of getting iron overload. Excess iron may builds up in tissues of your vital organs (such as your liver or heart). This overload is a chronic disease that when left untreated may lead to hemochromatosis, which is potentially deadly.

Unless your doctor prescribes that you need an excess amount of a certain nutrient for a certain medical condition, it is still best to just take the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA). No previous studies or data can prove that taking more nutritional vitamin and herbal supplements than what set in the RDA has beneficial effects.

2. Natural does not mean safe.

Claims that nutritional vitamins and herbal supplements are safer because they are natural are very misleading. Never buy supplements just because the manufacturer says that they are ?natural.?

Some plants are toxic in nature and can be harmful or deadly for human consumption. For example, the herb ephedra was pulled out of the market after it was linked to the death of a famous athlete. Play it safe and ask your doctor.

3. Supplement does not mean substitute.

While it is true that nutritional vitamins and herbal supplements can greatly help you get and maintain the recommended nutrients you need for a healthy lifestyle, it is wrong to look at supplements as substitutes for the natural sources of vitamins and nutrients. Maintain a healthy and balanced diet and just use supplements to fill your nutrition gaps.

4. Ask for professional help.

Because of the risks posed by harmful combinations of nutritional vitamins and herbal supplements and medications, it is best to seek the advice of a doctor or a herbal medicine expert before taking any. Remember that nutritional vitamins and herbal supplements do not work the same way for different people – what works for your neighbor may be harmful to you. Your doctor should evaluate your overall health condition and then diagnose the correct and most potent variety of nutritional vitamins and herbal supplements for you.

5. Be sure your supplement is safe.

Before you strike the first nail, your remodeling projects will face critical make or break points along the way. The choices you make at these points can be critical to the success of the project. To get the most of your remodeling dollar, be sure to follow the steps below to keep your home improvement remodeling projects on track.

Hire a pro- Good architects, designers and contractors will add to the initial cost of the project, but can save you money and frustration in the long run. There experience will help you find design pitfalls early that can cause budget and timeline creep later. So how do you find a good architect or contractor? The best way is through word of mouth and referrals. Talk to your friends to see if any of them recently used either and if they were happy with the results. Local builders can also provide referrals. Another great source can be your local parade of homes or home builders association.

Design Fees and Contractor Costs – Most large scale remodeling projects will require the services of a professional interior designer, architect or contractor. Insist that each bid include a detailed propose on the scope of the work. Do some analysis to determine if the fees are comparative when you shop for rates. The bargain rate firm may leave you with the clean-up and finishing work. The pricier bid may include oversight costs that you can do yourself. Be sure you are comparing apples to apples when reviewing the bids.

Planning is Key- Like any significant project, planning is a key to success. Take the time early in the project to spend the quality time needed to make informed decisions ahead of time. Be sure to adequately review bids from contractors and don’t select a contractor just because they are the lowest cost provider or are available immediately when you need them. Do your homework. Choose the design materials carefully to avoid costly changes later.

Develop Goals- Develop cost and timeline goals and stick to them as much as possible. Breaking the remodeling project down into smaller elements makes it easier to estimate the costs and manage the timeline later.

Helping Hand- Stay involved and pitch in where you can. By removing old fixtures, cabinets or doing other clean-up work you can save on the overall remodeling project. If capable, do some of the final finishing work yourself to also drive down the costs. Painting, touch up or installing faucets or other fixtures yourself can keep you within budget and give you the satisfaction of knowing you did some of the work yourself.

Design Choices and Customizations- Using custom cabinetry, windows, doors or other products can quickly drive the costs up for any remodeling project. This is one of the area where you can exercise a great deal of control over the remodeling costs. A standard window at your local home improvement store may cost $300, but a custom-sized window will cost at least double. Some elements of the project will need to be site specific and possibly customized. But some product categories – such as windows, doors and cabinetry – offer a wide variety of standard or semi-custom choices. Adding your own trim or embellishments later may make these standard choices look customized.

Stick to the Plan- Don’t let yourself get side tracked. For example, if you are painting your bedroom and you discover that the adjoining bathroom paint now looks dingy, don’t get side tracked. Schedule the bathroom paint upgrade for another weekend. The desire to add or change along the way will be tempting and may prove irresistible. If your remodeling projects stick to the original plan, most would finish on time and within budget.

The key to avoiding cost overruns and other pitfalls during your remodeling projects is to properly manage the variables along the way. Estimating the costs is both an art and a science. The better you plan, manage those variables and stick to the original plan the more likely you are to be satisfied with the project and complete it within your cost and timeline budgets.

Cell phones probably will look the same in the future, but what they will be capable of doing will significantly change. By the year 2010, 85% of U.S. households will own mobile phones. Here are some predictions of what future cell phones will do:

Watching TV or movies – Expect mobiles showing video clips soon.Quality of video will also be fine.So live sports events, news, movies everything in your finger tips.

Fuel Cell – Battery life often holds tech products back, and fuel cells could provide a boost. Fuel cells are like tiny engines that generate power through chemical reactions. If you need more power, you put in more “gas” – in most cases, a mixture of methanol, or wood alcohol, and other chemicals. The methanol will likely be housed in a replaceable cartridge, much as printer ink is.

High Speed Data Access – Imagine your Cell phone browsing the internet at DSL speed. Browsing the internet on your cell phone is nothing new, but DSL speed would be.

Video Cameras – This technology is actually already here. While currently a cell phone camera may have limited capabilities, it’s only a matter of time for it to exceed and surpass the performance of a stand alone video camera, although there is some concern over somebody being video taped without their consent.

Manufacturers and service providers watch these new advances closely so they are not caught short of what the consumer wants. A lot of this technology already exists but has not yet been widely accepted. But that is just a matter of time.

Cell phone carriers have truly embraced the multimedia revolution and decided to make our life cell phone centric. With technology like MP3, Video streaming and photography consolidated into these small devices, you can expect cell phones to become the only piece of electronic on us at all times. Play music, store all your images, carry all your medical records, GPS navigational information, if you dial 911 you can be tracked, check in at the airport., TV broadcasts, use it to entertain your children while you drive, web shopping… Is there anything a cell phone will not be able to do?

There are many people out there who want to buy a used car. Why don’t they just buy a new car? The answer is simple. Many people simply can’t afford to buy a new car, so they must buy a used car. But before you go out to buy a used car, there are some things you should take into consideration. There are many people out there who want to buy a used car. Why don’t they just buy a new car? The answer is simple. Many people simply can’t afford to buy a new car, so they must buy a used car. But before you go out to buy a used car, there are some things you should take into consideration.

First off, when you buy a new car you are the only owner of the car. This means you know where the car has been and you know it is in tip top condition. You also get a warranty on the car. But when you buy a used car, you have no idea where the car has been or what on earth has happened to it. The car could’ve been in a terrible accident for all you know. Also, when you buy a used car, you probably won’t get a warranty… unless if you buy a used car at a reputable dealership.

It is safer to buy a used car from a dealership, not from a newspaper ad. You also need to make sure you buy a used car from a reputable dealership. Some used car dealers are just plain sleezeballs. To be even safer, make sure when you buy a used car that the vehicle is Carfax certified. If the dealer won’t provide you with this information, then there is probably a problem with the vehicle in question. Carfax is a free service that provides you information on a cars damage history, if any. You can check the Carfax report online for free, you just need the vehicles VIN number (vehicle identification number). Also, if you buy a used car “as is” you may be stuck with a lemon. Try to get a warranty on the vehicle you purchase as an added safety net.

The next tip before you buy a used car is to get your credit checked. If you are going to finance the vehicle, you better hope you don’t have any blemishes on your credit report. Used car dealers make more money when you finance a car. When you buy a used car, you want to be sure you get the best APR (annual percentage rate) available. If it is too high, then try getting your loan from a bank. They may provide you with a better rate so you may then buy a used car.

Hopefully, when you go to buy a used car you will have a pleasant experience. Not all used cars are bad and not all car dealers are sleezeballs. Alas, an awful lot of them are so be careful. With some street smarts and a little bit of patience, you can end up with an excellent used car that will last you many years.

I’ll bet you’re frustrated that your team’s football kicking skills are leaving at least five points on the field every game you coach. Think about it, how often have you been in a fourth and three situation on the opposition’s fifteen yard line with no confidence in hitting the field goal?

You go for it instead of trying the kick and don’t make it. Instead of a three point lead, your opponent takes over and drives down for a touchdown. If you could improve your team’s kicking skills to the point of making just one field goal and two extra points per game, what would those five points do for your football coaching record?

Let’s discuss five simple tips for football kicking to help your kicker eliminate bad technique and have more success.

1) Instill in your football kicker the need to invest consistent practice time on developing his kicking skills. This may sound obvious, but too many youth football teams spend so little time working on their kicking game, it’s no wonder they can’t get the football through the uprights.

2) Here’s another obvious one, but worth mentioning. Teach your kicker to kick with the side of the foot (“soccer style“) as opposed to the “straight on” method. Your kicker will automatically become more accurate using this style of kicking.

3) The plant foot is critical. Teach your kicker to place his plant foot alongside the ball, not behind it and not ahead of it. As contact is made with the ball, the bottom of the shoe should be about parallel to the field.

4) Pay close attention to the follow-through. Your kicker’s head should stay down and remain focused on seeing his foot make contact with the bottom third of the football. Help your kicker avoid a common football kicking mistake by teaching him to keep his head down as long as possible on the follow-through. Make sure the follow-through is aimed straight toward the target.

5) Lastly, many young football kickers have a tendancy to alter their approach mechanics on longer field goal tries. Help them be aware of this and teach them to keep their approach consistent no matter the length of the attempted kick.

By applying these five simple tips to your team’s football kicking skills, you can add at least five points to each game’s total. Many football coaches seem willing to avoid working on the kicking aspect and leave these points on the field.

If you work on this aspect of your game and invest the time to study other finer points of successful football coaching, you’ll quickly and easily begin to overtake those other coaches.
